بَلى حرفٌ يُجاب به عن سؤال منفيٍّ فيُبْطِل نَفْيَه. كنحو أنْ تُسأَل وقد نجحتَ: [أما نجحتَ؟] فتجيب: [بلى]، والمعنى: بلى نجحتُ. ولو قلتَ: [نعم]، لكان المعنى: نعم ما نجحتُ !! وذلك أنّ [نعم] لا تُبطِل النفي، بل تُثبِته فيظلّ المنفي منفيّا. وكذلك تقول في جواب أليس الله بأحكم الحاكمين تقول بلى ولا تقل نعم ﻷن هذا يفسد المعنى.

دٌعَاء الصبَاح: “اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ أَوَّلَ يَوْمِي هذَا صَلاحَاً، وَأَوْسَطَهُ فَلاحَاً، وَآخِرَهُ نَجاحَاً، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ يَوْم أَوَّلُهُ فزع وَأَوْسَطُهُ جَزَعٌ وَآخِرُهُ وَجَعٌ”. اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّى أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ زَوَالِ نِعْمَتِكَ وَتَحَوُّلِ عَافِيَتِكَ وَفُجَاءَةِ نِقْمَتِكَ وَجَمِيعِ سَخَطِك. اللَّهُمَّ افتح لي أبواب رحمتك وارزقني مِن حيثُ لا أحتسب يا ربّ العالمين.
