The Nation Of Prophet Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him Will Come As Wise Scholars, It Is As If They Are Prophets In Their Knowledge Of The Law
Beneficial gems about the islamic knowledge and all praise is due to Allāh.
Our master the prophet of Allāh Jesus, peace be upon him, described the nation of our master Muhammad peace be upon him saying about them:
“The nation of prophet Muhammad peace be upon him will come as wise scholars, it is as if they are prophets in their knowledge of the law.” Narrated by Al-Hāfidh Abū Nu^aym. The saying of our master Jesus “It is as if” is likening. He said “it is as if”. Jesus peace be upon him described the nation of our master Muhammad and praised them saying: “It is as if they are prophets in their knowledge of the law” this means in the knowledge of the Islamic Law the scholars of the nation of Prophet Muhammad are like prophets. Jesus peace be upon him praised the scholars of the nation of Muhammad and this is a correct likening, it does not mean that they are equal to the prophets in status. Nobody is equal to the Prophets in status.
The scholars of Prophet Muhammad’s nation resemble the Prophets of the children of Israel (Israel is the Prophet of Allāh Jacob The Muslim The Mu’min The one who worships Allāh only) in the strength of their knowledge and in the enormity of their fear of Allāh and in their effort and complete diligence in obeying Allāh The Exalted.
As for the one who lies about the messenger of Allāh claiming that he said the scholars of my nation are better than the prophets of the children of Israel then such a person has blasphemed because they have belied the Qur’ān.
After Allāh mentioned a number of the Prophets: Jesus, Ishmael, Jonah, and other than them, Allāh revealed
وَكُلاً فَضَّلْنَا عَلَى العَالَمِينَ} (الأنعام، ٨٦).
Which means: And all the prophets have been given a superior status over the rest of the creation.
No one in the Dunyā is equal in status to the prophets and likewise nobody is equal to them in the hereafter. Some people who have written about some sufi shaykhs said about this shaykh that he is a prophet and that is blasphemy and misguidance, it does not benefit him saying that he does not receive revelation, after Prophet Muhammad, there are no new prophets.
The Prophet peace be upon him said: “And I am the seal of the Prophets and there is no Prophet after me.” Narrated by Abū Dawoud and in another Hadeeth: “Had there been a prophet after me it would have been ^Umar the son of Al-Khattāb.” Narrated by At-tirmidhiyy. It means there is no prophet after our master Muhammad peace be upon him. In another Hadeeth there is an evidence about the high status of our master ^Umar may Allāh raise his rank.
In another Hadeeth “the prophets have been sealed by me” narrated by Muslim. Whoever says about one of the shaykhs even if he was pious that he was a prophet, such a person is a blasphemer, he is like the Qādiyāniyyah, they say about their shaykh Al-Qādiyāniyy that he is a prophet under the umbrella of prophet Muhammad and despite that it is blasphemy.
