The Judge ^Abdul Wahhāb Al-Baghdādiyy Al-Mālikiyy, may Allāh have mercy on him, said in the explanation of the creed of Imām Mālik, may Allāh raise his rank: “And it is not permissible to confirm an attribute of a creation to Allāh because the religion did not narrate that and because that goes back to moving from place to place and changing and dwelling in a place and being in need of the places and that leads to attributing bodily attributes to Allāh and to saying that bodies have no beginning and this is blasphemy according to all muslims.”
The one who says Allāh is a body it is as if he is saying that the bodies have no beginning and whoever says that the body has no beginning then such a person has associated partners with Allāh; we seek refuge with Allāh.
Allāh is the only one who is eternal without a beginning. The place and the bodies and all their attributes have a beginning. Allāh created them after they were non-existent.
The Imām Ash-shāfi^iyy and the Imām Ahmad said: “Indeed the one who attributes bodily attributes to Allāh is a non-believer and that is the unanimous agreement of the muslims because it contradicts the verse
ليس كمثله شيء
Which means nothing resembles Him in any way.
